In 2021, influencer and comedian Iris Rulkens took over Instagram with her character-based videos. After working together at EMTV, I supported her as a video editor. It was important that her vlogs told a continuous story, while her Instagram videos remained short and catchy.
This is a good example of how content needs to be adapted to each specific platform. In a short period of time, Iris has grown to more than 170,000 followers and now has her own theatre tour. I am proud to see that she has been able to make her dream come true, and that I was able to be a small part of that journey.
