SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER
FanClub Centrum is an online platform that creates videos and stories about the centre of Amsterdam. With the city’s 750th anniversary coming up, it is important for the foundation to share these beautiful stories. From the baker who has been based on the Nieuwendijk for years to the influencer making the tastiest sandwiches in the city, they all share a deep love for this beautiful old city.
As Social Media Manager, my role is to coordinate the content across the right channels and make sure everything is published in the right way. I write copy, including pieces about the history of the city, and create visuals in InDesign and Photoshop that are shared online.
My role includes not only managing social media, but also supporting the website and newsletters. As a gift to the city, they also organise monthly events, where I helped with production and manage the guest list on the day itself.
What I value most about this work? It teaches me to look at everyday things, such as old buildings, in a different way, and it reminds me about the many stories of the city.
